Sagging of breasts is a common condition and a lot of women experience it throughout their lifetime. Like all the other parts of our body, our brests too undergo a lot of changes with time. In medical terms, saggy breasts are also known as breast ptosis. 

Most commonly the ligaments in the breasts stretch over time and lose their elasticity as you age, eventually leading to sagging of breasts. However, there are many other causes that can lead to saggy breasts.

Pushup is an exercise that will help tighten the muscles of your upper body, helping you lift those sagging breasts. Not only that, doing pushups regularly will help you improve your posture too. 

How To Do Pushup?

  • On a yoga mat, get down to your knees, stretch your hands in the front. 
  • Straighten your arms and legs. 
  • Now, lower your body. 
  • Your chest should be near the floor but not touch it. 
  • Hold the position for a few seconds and push yourself back up. 
  • Repeat it a few times. 

2. Dumbell Chest Press

Chest press targets the muscles of your upper body and arms. It helps build muscle tissue and strength. Doing a chest press will help you build muscles under your breast tissue and give it a lift. Doing it regularly will also help you strengthen your chest and arm muscles. 

How To Do Dumbell Chest Press?

  • Lie back on your back on a mat or a bench. 
  • Your feet should be flat on the ground. 
  • Take a dumbell in each hand and extend your arms over your shoulders. 
  • Lower down the weights on both sides at 90 degrees. 
  • Your palms should face downwards. 
  • Then slowly bring back your arms to the center. 
  • Repeat. 

3. Dumbell Flye

This exercise works on the muscles under your breast tissue and lifts your sagging breasts. It also targets your back, arms, and shoulders. 

How To Do Dumbell Flye?

  • Lie on the floor on a mat. 
  • Hold a pair of dumbells above your shoulders. 
  • Your elbows should be slightly bent. 
  • Press the weights up.
  • Lower the weights and bring the elbows down, parallel to the chest. 
  • Repeat.

Other Tips To Prevent Saggy Breasts

  • It is important to wear a well-fitted, comfortable bra all the time, especially when doing a workout. Wearing a sports bra can be a good option as it offers a lot of support and reduces breast motion. 
  • Try to keep your weight consistent as much as possible. This will prevent breast sagging
  • Smoking increases the ageing process. It makes the breast tissues lose their firmness.
