Expert nutritionist, Pooja Makhija shared a video on Instagram about a few easy cues other than thirst to ensure you drink enough of this liquid elixir.
1. No Sweat
If you are in a really hot and sweaty environment yet are not sweating, this is an indication of dehydration.
Sweating is a mechanism by which your body regulates its temperature. However, if you aren't hydrated, you won't sweat, which is bad for you.
According to the nutritionist, when the weather is hot and humid, it is natural for one to sweat as through this mechanism the body can regulate its temperature. However, when one is dehydrated there won't be any sweat which is an important indicator of your hydration levels.

2. Your Heart Rate Is Through The Roof
Less water equals less blood volume, which requires your heart to work harder. As a result, your heart is continually racing. This is a sign that you need more water.
"The lesser water means lesser blood volume which means your heart has to pump harder which is why your heart is beating too fast," says Makhija.

3. Observe Your Skin
Even if there is sun and moisture, and you have used sunscreen, if your skin is still dry, flaking, and itchy, you are dehydrated.
