In a pan, add 1 1/2 cup of water. Next, add 4-5 cloves, 1/2 inch cinnamon stick, 1/2 inch grated ginger. Bring to boil. Next, add in tea powder/masala. Cook for 1-2 minutes on low flame. Next, add 1/2 cup milk and boil. Add in sugar as per taste. Boil and sieve. Enjoy! 

Cloves not only add great flavour to your tea but also boost your overall health. Drinking this clove tea will help you keep digestive issues like constipation, diarrhea at bay because it improves digestion. If you are on a weight loss journey, you can have clove tea everyday. You can switch to a no-milk, no-sugar clove tea. You can add honey to the tea if you like. 

Clove Digestive Mix 

A lot of digestive mixes are available in the market that claims to help you digest heavy meals and keep digestion issues at bay. You can also make a digestive mix at home using cloves and some other healthy ingredients. 

Cloves have compounds that help in relaxing the lining of the gastrointestinal tract which keeps digestive issues like constipation, diarrhea at bay. 

You Will Need

  • 10-15 Cloves
  • Handful Of Mishri Or Granulated Sugar
  • 4-5 Tbsp Fennel Seeds


In a blender, add all the ingredients and blend to get a smooth powder-like consistency. Store this in a small box and have 1/4 teaspoon of this mix after your meal. You can also use jaggery instead of regular sugar to make this mix healthier. You can prepare this mix in bulk and store it for longer use.

Another way to consume cloves is by preparing clove water. Drinking it everyday first thing in the morning can benefit you in many ways. It is believed to be a good remedy for weight loss. 

How To Make Clove Water?


  • 50 Gram Cloves
  • 10-15 Black Peppercorns
  • 3-4 Cinnamon Sticks
  • 1-2 Glasses Of Water
  • Honey As Per Taste
  • Lemon Juice (Optional)


  • In a pan, dry roast cinnamon sticks, black peppercorns, and cloves. 
  • Switch off the flame and once cool, blend to make a powder. 
  • In a glass of water, add 1 tsp of the clove mix and add honey as per taste. Mix and drink up.

It is always a good idea to add some spices to the masala when prepare rice. It always adds a nice flavour to regular rice. Adding 2-3 cloves will help you add great flavour to even simple, boiled rice or jeera rice. 

Those who don't like cloves too much can add it to their rice. They don't completely take over the flavour and still benefit you in some way or the other.
