All you need to do is take a 20-second break, every 20 minutes and focus on an object which is approximately 20 feet away from you. Keep looking at that object for 20-30 seconds and then close your eyes. This will not only soothe your eyes but will also prevent them from straining.

This exercise is the easiest to do and can be done with just one prop, which is a pencil. Keep the pencil at an arm’s length and focus on the tip. Now move the pencil closer to you and back to the original position. Keep doing the to and fro motion and then relax your eyes. Repeat the process 2-3 times for maximum relaxation.
The second exercise is known as tracing a rainbow. All you need to do is trace a rainbow with your eyes on the wall in front of you. Focus on the wall and draw a rainbow from one end to another. This movement will help in relaxing your strained eye muscles. It will also regulate the blood circulation and will help you in getting back to work with focus better.
