The temperatures are rising everyday, meaning it's important for you to take care of your bodies more than any time right now to stay away from any problems. It is advised to stay home more, avoid some food types and eat the right type of food among many other activities. Stopping yourself from going out may not be easy as some work keeps coming but you can surely control what you eat.

To know the right diet during such excessive heat, we talked to Nutritionist Dt. Itu Khosla Chhabra, Nutritionist & Founder- NutrItu.

She said, "Because most summer fruits are hot, you should consume them cold. Lemonade is the perfect summer drink as it keeps you cool and hydrated at the same time."

She also suggested some good summertime foods that can help you stay cool by reducing heat in your body. Read on to know about all the food to reduce body heat:

Why Does Body Temperature Rises?

When excessive digestion occurs inside the stomach, the stomach gets hot. Sweating can help maintain a balance in high-temperature environments. But when there is too much heat, the body's natural cooling system becomes overworked.

Spicy and masaledaar meals should be avoided in this situation. Furthermore, caffeine should also be avoided.

Body Cooling Foods

In the summer, you should eat cold-tasting foods to keep your stomach cool and avoid problems like heartburn.

Vegetables Like Bottle Gourd And Pumpkin

Vegetables with a high water content, such as bottle gourd and pumpkin, are excellent for summer eating. It's also a healthy vegetable that soothes the stomach and reduces heat.  These vegetables help in digestion and maintain the health of the digestive system.

Eat Onions

Did you know that onions are cooling and are known to be rich in quercetin, which acts as an anti-allergen? It is also beneficial to protect you from sunstroke. You can also include cucumber, radish and carrot in your salad along with onions.  The addition of lemon and black salt will help to maintain your digestive system healthy and will make your appetite better.

Gond katira helps in the regulation of body temperature. After drinking this, your body will receive immediate energy and you will feel very fit.

Bel Ka Sharbat

Bel Ka Sharbat can help in preventing heat stroke. It is full of fiber and provides coolness to the body. However, do not use a lot of sugar when making bel ka sharbat.

Nutritionist Itu says that it is better to drink water from the matka or pot in summer than refrigerator water. The water in the pot is beneficial for your digestion.
