Sacred Breathing

In schools we all are taught that breathing is a physical process without which we can not survive but the breath is not just a physical process, it is also a spiritual bridge between you and the supreme. “Sit comfortably and close your eyes. Breathe in slowly through the nose, feel the air filling your chest. Exhale gently through the mouth, and with that breath, release tension. Do not try to control. Just observe. Be a witness. Inhale peace. Exhale restlessness. With each breath, you come closer to yourself,” said our expert.

The Name and Mantra Whisper

Words have power. Sacred words have vibration. Choose a mantra or a name that speaks to your heart. It may be “Om Shanti,” “Radhe-Radhe,” or the name of your chosen deity. Close your eyes and begin repeating it gently, either aloud or silently. Let the mantra merge with your breath. It will slowly bring your thoughts into rhythm like a river finding its flow. Even a few minutes of chanting can dissolve restlessness and awaken the peace that already lives within you.

Walking with Awareness

Even movement can become meditation. As you walk, slow your pace slightly. “Pay attention to each step. Feel the contact of your feet. Notice your surroundings, but do not chase them. Let your breath and steps find a gentle rhythm. This practice is especially powerful during travel, in airports, stations, or even just a corridor. You may be moving through the world but your spirit remains centered,” said our expert.

The Pause of Gratitude

Stress grows when the heart forgets to feel. Take a moment, right where you are, to remember what is good. It may be a kind word from someone. It may be the breath in your lungs. It may be simply the chance to begin again. Name three things you are grateful for. Feel them. Let them expand in your awareness. Gratitude opens the heart like morning light opens a closed flower. And where there is light, fear cannot remain.
