The 30-year-old Amritpal Singh gained attention in Punjab during the last six to seven months as a separatist leader and supporter of the Khalistani movement.
Amritpal Singh claims to be a devotee of Bhindranwale, a militant figure who strongly backed Khalistan's objectives. Singh was appointed as the chief of "Waris Punjab De" following his recent return from Dubai.
The Punjab police on Tuesday morning arrested four people who were linked to Amritpal Singh.
