Meet Jayanti Chauhan, Bisleri Founder's Daughter Who Is All Set To Take Over The Brand

Jayanti Chauhan will be taking charge of Bisleri International currently run by her father, Ramesh Chauhan. The veteran industrialist was earlier in negotiations with Tata Consumer Products for a few months to sell the brand.

Bisleri International Founder and Chairman, Ramesh Chauhan was in talks with Tata Consumer Products (TCPL) for a long time. Chauhan was in negotiations with the Tata Group, however, finally, TCPL called off its plan to acquire the brand. If reports are to be believed, Bisleri and Tata Group were negotiating to purchase the business for a price between ₹6000 to ₹7000 crores. Following the news, Bisleri founder was asked if he had any plans to sell the company.

Bisleri chairman shared that he has no plans to sell Bisleri going forward. Further, he was also questioned if his daughter, Jayanti Chauhan was stepping in as the lead. However, he declined to comment on the same.

Earlier in an interview, the chairman had shared that his daughter Jayanti wasn't interested in handling the family business. However, now as reports of her taking charge of the bottled water brand are doing rounds, we thought of sharing some interesting facts about her.

Jayanti Chauhan's Education

Jayanti Chauhan is Bisleri founder's only child. Growing up, she spent a lot of time in Delhi, Mumbai and New York City. After her schooling, she studied product development at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles in the US. She also studied Fashion Styling at the Istituto Marangoni Milano in Italy, according to reports. Following these degrees, Chauhan also enrolled at the London College of Fashion where she pursued photography and fashion styling. Jayanti also holds a degree in Arabic from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London.

Chauhan has been a part of Bisleri since the age of 24. Today, 42-year-old Jayanti Chauhan is the Vice Chairperson of Bisleri. Previously, she trained under her father and led the company's Delhi office. She played a key role in renovating factories and bringing automation to different processes. She worked with advertising and communication development teams and helped with marketing and branding.

She restructured different departments of the brand like Sales, Marketing and HR. Chauhan also headed the Sales and marketing teams to ensure market penetration and building brand value. Chauhan is the driving force between building the brand's new image and growing portfolio.

Further, scion of veteran industrialist Ramesh Chauhan, Jayanti Chauhan contributed to new product developments and worked closely in the operations of Bisleri Mineral Water and other key products offered by the brand like Vedica Natural Mineral Water from the Himalayas, Bisleri Hand Purifier and Fizzy Fruit Drinks. According to reports, Chauhan has majorly worked around Bisleri's Vedica in the past few years because she was the one who introduced the brand.

Reportedly, Jayanti Chauhan will be working with a professional management team headed by Angelo George after taking charge of the company.
