Remove Coffee Or Tea Stains

Coffee or tea carpet stains can be a nightmare for many of us, right? That noticeable yellowish-brown hue can leave a carpet looking filthy. But what if we tell you that with just a few household items and some simple tricks, you can remove that daunting stain? Read on to know the solution.


  • First, blot as much of the beverage up as possible using a dry white towel or paper towel. You can start blotting from the outside to the middle so, the beverage doesn't spread. Also, if there is a substantial amount, just make sure that you are not spreading the stain even more by changing cleaning towels. 
  • Then, mix 1/4th teaspoon of a gentle, non-bleach detergent, one tablespoon of white vinegar, and one cup of warm water.
  • After that, use a clean cloth, and dab the solution on the stain.
  • After applying the solution, you have to blot frequently with a dry cloth until the stain disappears. 
  • Sponge that spot with cold water to rinse and then, blot dry again.

Remove Fat-Based Stains Like Gravy

We all savour on gravies and love them. They make almost any meal better, and can cover up lots of your cooking mistakes, right? 

Well, they are great except when it drops on the beautiful carpet and causes a stain! But don’t worry, we are here to help you. Just follow these steps and say hello to stain-less carpets.


  • First, remove as much as gravy is possible with a clean towel or if the stain has dried then, safely scrape it off.
  • Then, sprinkle the stain with baking soda or cornstarch and let it sit for 2-3 hours.
  • Next, using the vacuum hose, remove the excess powder.
  • Now, mix 2-3 tablespoons of dish liquid into a cup of warm water. 
  • Blot the solution on the stained spot.
  • Sponge the stain with cold water to remove the left-out ingredients.
  • After removing the stain, pat the carpet with a clean towel to soak any excess moisture.

Remove Pet Stains

Your precious pet is going to have accidents and you can’t ignore that. We know that urine or vomit on a carpet can be your worst nightmare. So, we are telling you the solution following which you can put an end to this misery.


  • Start by cleaning up the initial mess. Blot frequently until the carpet is almost dry.
  • Next, prepare a detergent solution by mixing two cups of warm water and one teaspoon of mild non-bleach liquid detergent. 
  • Apply this detergent solution to the stained spot and let it sit for 5-6 minutes and then, blot again.
  • Then, to neutralize the odour, use a solution of two tablespoons of white vinegar with 2 cups of warm water and spritz on the stain. 
  • Make sure you blot up all excess moisture with a clean towel.
  • When the carpet is completely dry and clean, vacuum the spot to remove any other inconsistencies.
