A fish cake is a dish made with minced or ground filleted fish and a starchy element to coat the fish with. Some also add surimi which is a fish paste. Typically, corvina or cuttlefish, which have less fat, are used to make fish cakes. This is because fatty fish are not suitable for making fishcakes. This snack is loved by every non-vegetarian. Ingredients:-
- 4-6 medium fillets - corvina fish
- 2 medium potatoes (boiled)
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 2 cups breadcrumbs
- ½ cup coriander (chopped)
- 1 tsp crushed garlic
- Salt (as per taste)

How To Make It:-
1. Put the fish fillets and 2 cups of water in a container and boil. Cook the fish until it is done. Once finished, pour the liquid into a basin after draining it. Now take a fork and mash it.

2. Boil the potatoes in a bowl. After it has been done, peel, mash and combine with the fish.
3. Add the chopped onions to a pan with 1 tablespoon of hot oil. After about a minute or two of stir-frying, add the ginger and garlic. After a little bit of frying, add spices and salt according to your taste. Let it cool down and then add it to the fish/potato mix. Now make round patties out of it.

4. Coat the patties with breadcrumbs after dipping them in the batter (all-purpose flour and water or just in egg). Now fry the patties in oil on a medium flame till it turns golden brown.
5. Let it cool down and serve with chutney and sauce.
