Helmed by Sai Kabir under Kangana Ranaut's production house Manikarnika Films, Tiku Weds Sheru made it to Amazon Prime Video today. The film stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur in prominent roles. The romantic comedy revolves around the life of two characters who dream to be successful Bollywood actors.
The film was scheduled to release earlier this year, however, got postponed reportedly due to Nawazuddin Siddiqui's issues with his wife Aaliya Siddiqui.
Before its release today, the movie saw multiple delays and changes. Many don't know that the movie was initially called 'Divine Lovers' with Irrfan Khan and Kangana Ranaut in lead roles in 2016. Later, the director Sai Kabir fell ill for a few years and the film got stalled. By the time the director went back to working on the script, Irrfan Khan had passed away. Reportedly, Ranaut too didn't want to continue with the project as the lead. Finally, the film was made under Kangana's production with a new cast.

Criticism For Kissing Scene
When the trailer first released, netizens brutally trolled the makers for Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur's kissing scene citing the age gap between the actors.
