As per reports, the Mumbai Mira Road murder case has seen the worst ever turn a live-in relationship can take. A fifty six year old man was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly murdering his live-in partner and chopping her body into pieces in Mumbai’s Mira road neighbourhood. According to the police’s statement, the cold blooded murder may have happened three days ago. Manoj SahanI who is the identified accused for the murder is a fifty six year old man who is a resident of the apartment.
The police are filing an FIR against the accused Sahani on the charges of murder and dismantling of evidence. In addition, a forensic team has visited the flat to collect all the evidence for testing.

“Police say the accused and his murder victim - Saraswati Vaidya, 32 - rented an apartment in Mumbai's Geeta Nagar Phase 7 for the past three years. The flat is registered in the name of a 'Sonam Builders', the authorities said.
Around 7 pm on Wednesday police received a call from the others residents in the apartment complex complaining of a foul smell from Sahani and Vaidya's flat. On entering the flat the police found Vaidya's body parts.

Deputy Commissioner of Mumbai Police (Zone 1) Jayant Bajbale said: "We believe Sahani cut the woman’s body into pieces so as to make it easy for him to dispose of them." Police said the accused had brought a tree-cutter and chopped the body up into more than 20 pieces to aid in the disposal.

An officer attached to the Nayanagar Police Station said some body parts were missing and they suspected the accused had dumped them elsewhere.
Police also said the accused boiled some pieces of the body in a pressure cooker and put them into plastic bags to get rid of them.”
