    What to do:

    • Boil water in a large stainless steel container and take out the vent.
    • Add about a ¼ cup of baking soda slowly. Don’t add too much at a time.
    • Let the vents boil in this mixture for 60 seconds. If you have a small container, then turn it over and make sure every side should be in the mixture for 60 seconds. 

    Kitchen Tiles

    Due to heat and cooking, tiles get sticky and harbor a lot of dirt. Large or small- any type of tiles collects can get filthy.

    What to do:

    • Mix 1 ¼ cup baking soda with 1 cup of vinegar in a spray bottle.
    • Spray the solution on the tiles and scrub it with a toothbrush.
    • If the dirt doesn’t come off, then add a ½ cup of liquid soap to the solution.

    Sanitize The Chopping Board

    Wooden boards are great for chopping and dicing but their porous surface makes them susceptible to stains and odors.

    What to do: 

    • Sprinkle salt on the board.
    • Take a lemon and cut it in half. Wipe the board back and forth with lemon and watch stains and odors disappear.

    No matter if you have forgotten your milk on the stove for longer than you should have, or if you tried to caramelize some sugar and it got stuck on the pot, you can easily clean your burnt vessel with the following tips.

    What to do:

    • Pour 1 cup of water and 1 cup of vinegar into the burnt vessel.
    • Let the solution boil.
    • Once boiling, remove it from the heat and put it in the sink, and add 2 tablespoons of baking soda.
    • When the mixture stops fizzing, empty the container and scrub it with a hard sponge.
    • Add extra baking soda, if the vessel is not cleaned.

    The Kitchen Sponge

    While cleaning the kitchen we tend to forget to clean our sponges, which leads to the transfer of a ton of bacteria from one place to another. So clean them at least once a day.

    • To soften the sponge and make the dirt and oils unstuck from it- microwave the sponge with a glass of water for a few minutes on high.

    Usually, we avoid cleaning the burned stove because it’s hot. Ammonia is the ultimate grease remover, so use it to get rid of the grease stains around your stove burners, for good.

    What to do:

    • Pour a ¼ cup of ammonia into a Ziploc bag. Do not use more than that.
    • Put your stove burner in it and lock the bag.
    • Leave the burner in the solution for 8-9 hours.
    • Wipe off the gunk with a sponge.

    Make The Kitchen Faucets Shine Again

    Stainless faucets have become the norm for every modern homeowner- easy to clean, durable, and affordable. However, sometimes they can get dirty as well or have spots on them.

    What to do:

    • Pour a solution of vinegar and baking soda, in a Ziploc bag or in a small plastic bag.
    • Put the bag over the faucet. Make sure the faucet is dipped in the solution.
    • Tie the bag around the faucet. 
    • Leave it like this for an hour and wipe off the rest of the solution.

    Get Rid Of Water Spots On Glasses

    Vinegar works very well to make glasses shine.

    What to do: 

    • Just soak a paper towel in vinegar and rub it on the glass gently.
    • Let the glasses dry.
