He was warmly welcomed by Trinidad & Tobago’s Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar in Port of Spain with a ceremonial Guard of Honour and vibrant cultural performances including traditional dances of the Caribbean region and Bhojpuri Chautaal highlighting the strength of the Indian diaspora. At a community event in Couva, Modi praised the courage and contributions of the Indian-origin community, noting their cultural, economic, and spiritual impact on the country
