During a recent appearance on Bharti Singh's podcast, Makbul provided detailed insights into her medical condition and its impact on her daily life. She explained the complex nature of autoimmune hepatitis, describing how her body's immune system mistakenly attacks her liver cells.

"I have turned vegan recently due to health reasons. A lot of people don't know that I am an autoimmune hepatitis patient. I have a liver disease, it was diagnosed in 2020. It has no specific symptoms. In this, my body cells are attacking the organ. So in my case, it's sometimes lupus; it hits your kidneys or causes arthritis. Samantha Ruth Prabhu has myositis, which is a muscle condition. I have it with the liver," Makbul shared during the podcast interview.

Her candid explanation helped viewers understand the unpredictable nature of autoimmune conditions, where the body's defence system turns against its organs. This type of condition requires constant medical monitoring and can cause health fluctuations without warning signs.
