Star Indian cricketer Rinku Singh got engaged to Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Priya Saroj on Sunday at the Centrum, a luxury hotel in Lucknow. Rinku, who recently played for the Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2025, and Saroj were reportedly friends for a year and their closeness grew with time. In a video that’s gone viral on social media, the duo can be seen dancing at the event. Now, who is Priya Saroj? Priya Saroj was born and brought up in Karkhiyaon village, Uttar Pradesh on november 23, 1998. Her family is well-known in politics. Tufani Saroj, her father, is a famous Samajwadi Party leader, who was elected three times as a Member of Parliament and now represents the Kerakat constituency in the State Assembly.
The politician has completed her schooling at the Air Force Golden Jubilee Institute in New Delhi. She gained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from Delhi University and then pursued a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Amity University, Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
As per media reports, after completing her LLB, she started practising as an advocate, first at the high court and later at the Supreme Court of India. Also, Priya Saroj was a candidate for judgeship exams and had been taking online classes when her political career took an unexpected turn.

According to PTI, the couple is all set to get married on November 18 at Varanasi's Hotel Taj. Guests from the political circle, the cricket society, Bollywood, and the business world are expected to attend the wedding function.
