    • Sitting for too long is also a common reason behind bum acne. 
    • Wearing your old underwear for days can lead to dirt, sweat, and oil in your skin and this can lead to redness.

    Shower Immediately After Workout

    You may feel tired to go for a shower right after that intense workout. However, it is very important to do so. Why? When you work out, sweat, oil, and dirt start to accumulate on your skin and you should wash it right away or it starts to get into the pores.

    Saltwater Remedy

    This is one of the easiest home remedies you can do. Salt is easily available at our homes. It has sodium chloride which is known for its antibacterial properties. Saltwater is an effective remedy for bum acne. All you need to do is add 1 tsp of salt to 2 cups of warm water and mix well. Take a towel or clean cloth and dip in this water. Squeeze out the excess water and apply it on the affected area.

    Use A Hot Or Cold Compress

    Using a hot or cold compress on bum acne can fight the bacteria which causes it. This process also reduces the swelling and redness. If done regularly, it can also help in extracting the pus. You can use an ice pack on the affected area or apply a hot bottle for 10 to 15 minutes. 

    Tea Tree Oil

    Tea tree oil has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties that fight acne. Using tea tree oil on your bum regularly will help you get rid of the acne. Take a few drops of tea tree oil and mix it with a carrier oil like coconut or olive oil. Mix and apply on your acne directly. Let it absorb. 

    Lemon Juice

    The anti-inflammatory properties of lemon help in reducing the swelling or inflammation caused due to bum acne. The astringent properties present in lemon also shrink the skin pores. Lemon has anti-bacterial properties that fight acne-causing bacteria.

    Squeeze out the lemon juice and using a cotton ball apply it directly on the acne. Leave it for 10 minutes and then wash with lukewarm water.

    Toothpaste is another easy hack to get rid of butt acne. It has baking soda which removes excess oil from your skin and dries the acne. The antibacterial properties of the toothpaste help in killing the bacteria. 

    Take some toothpaste on a cotton pad and apply it to your bum acne. Let it dry and then wash off.
