Give your skin a break and plunge into freshening skin care with ice cube masks. These cooling face masks will give your face a refreshing retreat and will make summers more bearable. 

Lemon And Mint Ice Cubes

Lemon is a natural antioxidant that helps in reducing oiliness and reverses skin damage. On the other hand, mint is known for its antibacterial properties, which effectively treats acne and sensitive skin

Steps to make this face mask: 

  • Cut one whole lemon into either thin slices or small cubes. 
  • Take 10-12 mint leaves and wash them thoroughly. 
  • Now fill your ice tray with water, according to the number of frozen cubes you need. 
  • Divide your mint leaves and diced lemon equally in all the ice tray sections. 
  • Let it freeze overnight and it would be ready to use the next morning. 
  • Take out the cubes and apply them on your clean face. 
  • Rub in circular motions for about 7-8 minutes with small intervals in between. 

This frozen facial will instantly calm your skin down and will also works on any kind of inflammation.

Strawberry And Honey Ice Cubes

With tonnes of benefits, strawberry is your one-stop solution for all skin problems. From revitalising your skin to treating puffy eyes, strawberry also helps in toning your face. You can also add honey to your frozen facial, which will help in keeping acne at bay. 

Steps to make this face mask: 

  • Cut 2-3 strawberries into long thin slices. 
  • Make a few cuts of each strawberry slice using a knife. Make sure you don’t spoil the shape of the slices while doing so. 
  • Now fill your ice tray with water and drop your strawberries into it. 
  • Drop 2-3 drops of honey in each square. 
  • Keep your tray in the freezer and let it freeze properly. 
  • Once frozen, take out the cubes and gently rub them on your face. 
  • Keep rubbing in circular motions and cover your whole face. 

Make sure you don’t overexpose your skin to the ice, as it might harm it. Rub for 2 minutes and give a break of one minute. Repeat the process 3-4 times, till the cube melts.

Flower and Glycerin Ice Cubes

From face washes to lotions, flowers are used to make several beauty products. They not only provide beauty benefits but also leave a pleasant scent because of their fragrance. You can use any flower petals to make this ice mask, such as rose, marigold, hibiscus, lavender or chamomile. 

Steps to make this face mask: 

  • Pluck a few petals from your favourite flower and tear them into 2-3 pieces. 
  • Add water to your ice tray and drop in the flower petals equally. 
  • Add 2-3 drops of glycerin in each square. 
  • Let it freeze for at least 4-6 hours, post which it would be ready to use. 


These flower ice cubes will not only be stunning to gaze at but will also help in relaxing your skin to the maximum extent.
