freezer cleaning tips

The freezer is an integral part of the refrigerator designed to prevent the spoilage of perishable food items. However, the freezer is also vulnerable to developing a stinky smell if the food kept inside it gets spoiled. Despite removing the spoiled food from the freezer, the smell remains inside and soon it leads to a foul-smelling freezer. It’s a common issue which is faced by every other household. If you are dealing with a foul-smelling freezer then here are the tips you can implement to get rid of it.

Declutter The Freezer

We often tend to store a lot of food items in our freezer and thus we don’t know the actual reason behind that bad smell. So, start with decluttering the freezer. Remove all the items and inspect each one of them for any spoilage, freezer burn or foul odour.

Discard The Bad Ones

It is important to discard the food items that have developed ice crystals because they are no longer storable. Keep the rest of the food items in a cooler while you are dealing with the freezer. Meanwhile, inspect the refrigerator (how to deep clean furniture) and the food kept in it.
