People have different ways of showcasing their devotion to God. Some fast for multiple days while others take an oath to walk barefoot to a pilgrimage centre. However, this Surat-based merchant has shown that devotion can also take the form of designing jewellery studded with diamonds.
The merchant has shown exemplary craftsmanship by designing a necklace that looks like a replica of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. He has decided to present this as a gift to the temple when it opens its doors to devotees in January 2024.
5000 Diamonds And 2 Kg Silver
Who knew that devotion could take the form of diamonds and silver converting into infinite treasure? According to the ANI, Kaushik Kakadiya, director of Rasesh Jewels, has unveiled the masterpiece and shared that he did not make it for ‘commercial purpose’. The intention of the merchant and craftsmen was to present something to the Ram Temple, currently in the last stages of development.
He was quoted saying, “More than 5000 American diamonds have been used. It is made of 2 kg silver. We were inspired by the newly built Ram Temple in Ayodhya.”
It took at least 40 jewellery artists to complete this necklace in around 30 days. Kakadiya also said, “Surat is believed to be the land of donors, therefore, we are trying our best to get this necklace to Ayodhya and present it as a gift to the Ram Temple Trust.

The centre of the necklace boasts the outer view of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Its base has a circular structure featuring effigies of Gods and Goddesses. The neckband has elephants and semi-circular elements with idols of Gods placed between them.
One can see in the video shared by ANI that besides the necklace, the craftsman had placed gold-plated idols of Lord Rama, Goddess Sita, Lord Laxmana, and Lord Hanuman. Their jewellery is also studded with American diamonds.
