Ever felt like you’re running a never-ending marathon between deadlines and daycare, Zoom calls and school runs? You’re not alone. In 2025, women are still battling the myth of ‘having it all’, but what if the secret isn’t perfection, but smarter strategies? This Women’s Day, we’re cutting through the chaos with seven actionable hacks straight from industry leaders who’ve been there, done that and rewritten the rulebook.
Stress Management Techniques
Mastering Time Management
Time is a finite resource, and women often excel at making the most of it. By prioritising tasks, setting realistic goals, and delegating when necessary, they create a structured routine that allows them to focus on what truly matters.
“Work-life balance is not about dividing time equally but about prioritising well-being with intention,” says GR Rajapriya, Founding Director & Principal Designer at East Craft Designs.
Setting Boundaries
One of the most powerful tools women use is setting clear boundaries, both at work and at home. Whether it’s saying no to extra tasks, carving out ‘me time,’ or unplugging from work emails after hours, boundaries help protect their mental and emotional energy.
As Rashmi Mittal, Pro-Chancellor of Lovely Professional University, puts it, “Life’s challenges are inevitable, but how we manage stress can make all the difference.” Setting boundaries ensures that women can recharge and show up as their best selves in every role.
Embracing Mindfulness and Meditation
Mindfulness practices like meditation, deep breathing, or even a peaceful walk can help women reset their minds and find calm amidst chaos. These techniques are especially effective for managing stress and maintaining focus.
“Simple practices like guided imagery or meditation can bring calm in the chaos,” says Mittal. Taking a few minutes each day to centre themselves allows women to approach challenges with clarity and composure.
Prioritising Self-Care
Self-care isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity. Women understand that taking care of their physical and mental health is essential for sustaining their energy and resilience. Whether it’s practicing yoga, enjoying a hobby, or simply getting enough sleep, self-care helps them recharge and stay balanced.
“Taking care of ourselves allows us to show up fully for both our personal and professional lives,” Mittal emphasises.

Finding Creative Outlets
Creative activities like painting, journaling, or gardening provide an emotional release and a way to express feelings that might otherwise go unspoken. These outlets serve as a form of therapy, helping women process stress and find joy in the little things.
“A creative outlet can help us express and release bottled-up emotions,” Mittal notes. Engaging in something creative can be a powerful way to unwind and reconnect with oneself.
Building a Support System
No one can do it all alone, and women know the importance of leaning on their support networks. Whether it’s family, friends, or colleagues, having a strong support system provides a sense of connection and security.
“Nurturing relationships and seeking social support can provide a sense of connection and security,” says Mittal. Sharing responsibilities and seeking help when needed is a sign of strength, not weakness.
Practicing Gratitude and Positive Self-Talk
A positive mindset can work wonders in managing stress. Women often use gratitude practices and affirmations to shift their perspective and focus on the good in their lives.
“Positive self-talk and gratitude—two small habits that can lead to big changes in how we perceive and handle stress,” Mittal explains.
As we honour Women’s Day, it’s important to recognise the incredible strength and resilience women demonstrate every day. Balancing home and career is no easy task, but with effective stress management techniques, women not only manage their responsibilities but also excel as leaders.
Here’s to celebrating the women who inspire us with their ability to lead, nurture, and grow—all while taking care of themselves. Let’s continue to support and empower one another, not just on Women’s Day but every day.
