Step 1: Purchase cumin seeds from the market, nursery or online stores.

Step 2: Soak the seeds in water for 8 hours before you sow them.

Step 3: Choose a large container and place the seeds in the pot in a wet condition. Ensure the pot has at least two drainage holes. Sow at least 3 cumin seeds together.

Step 4: Fill the container with loam soil. Use well-drained and fertile soil for the best results. Loam soil is made out of sand, silt, and a small amount of clay.

Step 5: Place the pot near the south-facing window of your house where it can get enough sunlight. Cumin plants need direct sunlight most of the time, thus you can place the pot where it receives ample sunlight.
