Citibank Allows Work From Home For A Year After Maternity Leaves For Its Female Employees

Citibank has offered 1 year of work from home to new mothers after their maternity leave expires. This is a great initiative for all the aspiring women who wish to have a family life as well.

It is not easy managing a job and baby together, any new parent, especially a mother, would tell you that. This leads to a lot of women quitting their jobs and making motherhood their full-time job. To end this distress, Citibank India has given new moms the option of work from home for 12 months after their maternity leave has ended.

Citibank provides 26 weeks of maternity leave. On top of it all, they can avail work from home for three months in the last trimester of their pregnancy. For the first time in the industry, any company has planned such for their female employees. Additionally, these women will be getting a cumulative of 21 months of work from home throughout their pregnancy and early motherhood.

Priorly, ICICI Bank had allowed its female employees to work from home as per their needs.

This is a great initiative for women as it ends the dilemma of them making a choice between their career and family life.

Other Companies Offering Leave Or WFH

There are several global companies that value the needs of their female employees who have started their journey of motherhood. There are companies like Netflix, Paypal, Fedex, 3M, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, KPMG and more that offer 26 to 52 weeks of maternity leavesto their female employees.

Furthermore, if you are a new mother and are looking for a work from home job, you could apply to several global companies that offer the same in India. The companies include Adobe, Xapo Bank, Airbnb, DigitalOcean, ZigSaw, MongoDB and LinkedIn.
