Ingredients

  • 200 g Powdered Sugar
  • 32 g Almond Flour
  • Finely Ground
  • Salt To Taste
  • 1 Egg Whites
  • 18 g Granulated Sugar
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 Drop Pink Gel Food Colouring
  • Vanilla Buttercream
  • 77 g Unsalted Butter
  • 1 Tablespoons Heavy Cream

Step

  • Step 1 :

    In a food processor, mix almond flour, about 70 g of powdered sugar and two pinches of salt and process on low speed until very fine powder is formed.

  • Step 2 :

    Then take the egg white and add 1/4 teaspoon of salt to it and start beating.

  • Step 3 :

    Stop beating when soft peaks are formed. Gradually keep adding granulated sugar and keep beating simultaneously.

  • Step 4 :

    Now add the vanilla essence and food colouring and beat to mix it all together.

  • Step 5 :

    Lastly, add sifted almond flour to the batter and blend it well till a ribbon is formed.

  • Step 6 :

    Transfer the macaron batter into a piping bag with a round tip.

  • Step 7 :

    Pipe the macarons on the parchment paper in 3 cm circles with 1 cm distance between each of them.

  • Step 8 :

    Let the macarons sit in room temperature from about 1 hour and check when they dry out a little.

  • Step 9 :

    Preheat the oven at 150˚C and then bake the macarons for 20 minutes. Allow them to cool before filling.

  • Step 10 :

    To make the filling, add the butter and beat it up until it becomes fluffy.

  • Step 11 :

    Now add the leftover powdered sugar, vanilla essence and mix well. Next add 1 tablespoon of cream and combine it well, then add another spoonful until all the cream is used.

  • Step 12 :

    Once you achieve a thick consistency, transfer the filling into a piping bag with a round tip.

  • Step 13 :

    At last, take one of the macaron shells and add the filling to it and cover with another shell.

  • Step 14 :

    Store these inside an airtight container for 24 hours and enjoy!
