- Start by peeling all the oranges, making sure to remove the skin and seeds. Put the extracted pulp into a pan.
- Cook the orange pulp in the pan, adding sugar and a little bit of orange food colouring for a vibrant look. You can skip the food colouring if you prefer a more natural appearance.
- Add desiccated coconut and orange zest to the simmering mixture to enhance both flavour and texture. Then, mix in the milk solids or khoya, allowing the ingredients to blend and cook thoroughly for a harmonious fusion of tastes.
- Prepare a tray and pour the cooked mixture into it, spreading it evenly. For a touch of elegance, decorate the dish with delicate silver work.
- Let the Orange Barfi set for at least 3-4 hours. Once it has set perfectly, cut it into your desired shapes and sizes.
