You can make this delicious recipe by using just 3 main ingredients – whole wheat flour, sugar, and ghee. This wheat halwa is smooth, soft, and moist in texture. You can add dry fruits of your choice to add a bit of crunch. It only takes just about half an hour of time so you can cook this delish dish whenever you feel like having a traditional Indian dessert!
How To Make?
- In a kadhai, add 3 cups of water and 1 cup of sugar
- Heat them and let the sugar dissolve.
- Boil the sugar solution in 2-3 minutes and make sure it doesn’t have any thread consistency.
- Meanwhile, add ghee to another kadhai.
- Then, add wheat flour and mix well.
- Roast the wheat flour and stir continuously till it turns golden and aromatic.
- Keep stirring the mixture for another few minutes to ensure even browning.
- Next, pour the hot boiling sugar solution over the wheat mixture while stirring continuously.
- Stir continuously till the wheat flour absorbs all the water and make sure any lumps are not formed.
- After that, add cardamom powder, almonds, and raisins, and mix well.
- Switch off the flame once the halwa’s consistency is semi-thick or thick.
- Garnish with sliced pistachios and serve hot!
