Treacle tart is a traditional British dessert that is also known to be one of the first desserts. Here we present a very easy recipe for making the most delicious and amazing treacle tart. So, take a look.
- Take the flour and salt and sieve them into another container. Stir in some icing sugar after adding butter and mixing it all with your fingers. Next add egg yolks, 2-3 tablespoons of water and roll it into a ball, wrap and refrigerate. Take it out after some time and roll it into a flat disc as thick as a coin. Now take this disc and line the tart tin with it leaving an overhang and then refrigerate again for 30 minutes.
- Heat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius and line with a baking sheet. Line the pastry sheet with a parchment sheet and baking beans and bake for about 15 minutes. Take off the parchment paper and then go on and bake again for 10 minutes. Trim the overhanging edges with a knife.
- Lower the temperature of the oven to 160 degrees Celsius and then in a bowl combine golden syrup, ginger, ginger syrup, breadcrumbs, eggs, and lemon, blend well and transfer this into the pastry case. Finally, bake for 40 minutes and cool for 20 minutes before serving.
