First, prepare the dough by mixing two cups of all purpose flour and two tablespoons of Ghee together. Knead them together to form a dough while gradually adding water. Cover the dough and set it aside for 30 minutes. Then, in a heated pan, roast one cup of graded coconut lightly, add half a cup of Khoya, mix well, and cook them together. Add one cup of powdered sugar, 1/4 cup of chopped nuts, a tablespoon of raisins, and half a teaspoon of cardamom powder to the mix, and cook it all together till everything is combined. Let the cooked mix cool down.

Next, assemble the Gujiya by dividing the dough into small balls and rolling them out into circles. Add the coconut filling to the centre and fold along the edge over the filling, making sure that the edges are sealed properly. A fork or Gujiya mould can be used for the same. Now, in a deep pan, heat some Ghee/oil, fry the Gujiyas on medium heat until they are golden brown. Use a paper towel to get rid of excess oil. Once they are slightly cooled down, serve them warm or store in an airtight container for later!
