How To Make South Indian Appe | Appe Recipe
1. In a mixing bowl, combine the semolina, and yoghurt. Add water as needed to make a smooth batter with a consistency similar to pancake batter.
2. Now in the batter add chopped green chilli, carrots, bell peppers, and onions, curry leaves, coriander leaves, and salt. Mix well to combine. Allow the batter to rest for 30 minutes.
3. Heat an Appe pan on medium heat and grease the craters with a little oil.
4. Pour spoonfuls of the batter into each crater of the pan, filling them up to about 3/4 full.
5. Cover the pan and let the Appe cook for 2-3 minutes on medium heat until the bottom turns golden brown.
6. Using a spoon, gently flip each Appe over and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the other side is golden brown and crispy.
7. Once cooked through and crispy on both sides, remove the Appe from the pan and repeat the process with the remaining batter.
