Kannada TV Actor Pavithra Jayaram Died In A Road Accident: Who Was She?

In a recent tragic accident, Kannada’s popular TV actress Pavithra Jayaram passed away. Her untimely death has left her fans and the entire nation in a state of shock. Pavithra Jayaram Accident

Kannada TV actor Pavithra Jayaram died in a car accident while travelling with her family. The accident took place in Mehboob Nagar, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh on Sunday, May 12, 2024. As per a report by the IANS, the actress’ car met with a harsh collision with a divider after the driver lost control of the steering wheel followed by a severe bus crash. The bus that was travelling from Hyderabad to Vanaparthi hit the right side of the car injuring the actress to the extent that she passed away on the spot.

Bhoothpur Police quoted, "She died in a road accident last night at 1 am at Divitipally in Mehboob Nagar district. She was travelling from Bengaluru to Hyderabad."

The accident occurred while the actress was travelling to Hanakere in Karnataka’s Mandya district. According to several media reports, she was accompanied by her cousin Apeksha, driver Srikanth and her actor husband Chandrakanth who were severely injured as well but made it out alive.

Actor Sameeip Acharyaa expressed his grief by posting the actress’ photo on his social media account. He wrote, "Woke up to the news that you are no more. It’s unbelievable. My first on-screen mother, you will always be the special one."

Pavithra Jayaram was one of the most loved and famous actresses in the Kannada TV industry. Her role as Thilottama in the hit Telugu television serial 'Trinayani' met with immense appreciation and fanbase. She made her acting debut in the Kannada TV industry with ‘Jokali’ while her Telugu TV career started with ‘Ninne Pelladatha’. She has also worked in other languages but her roles in the Telugu language serials are highly appreciated.
