As per the reports, Android Authority has shared that WhatsApp users (WhatsApp Blocking) will soon be able to share photos, videos, documents, and other files with nearby WhatsApp users even if they don’t have an active internet connection. This feature is available to only select beta testers for now and will be made available to all in the upcoming weeks.
The new features will be optional and will become accessible once the user grants permission. The functionality of this feature will be similar to that of Google’s Quick Share and Apple’s AirDrop. End-to-end encryption (Chat Lock On WhatsApp) will be the same for this sharing process just as the messages. The users will also be allowed to opt out of this feature by revoking their permission.
