Mukul Dev, the versatile actor known for his work in Hindi, Punjabi, and South Indian cinema, passed away on Friday at the age of 54. As of now, the cause of his death remains unknown, and an official statement from the family has yet to be released. The news was confirmed by fellow actors and close friends through social media and media interactions.
Actress Deepshikha Nagpal confirmed Mukul Dev’s death through an Instagram Story. Sharing a photo of herself with the late actor, she wrote, "I can't believe this muks," along with a RIP GIF, expressing her disbelief at the sudden loss.
Actor Manoj Bajpayee also shared an emotional tribute. He wrote, "It’s impossible to put into words what I’m feeling. Mukul was a brother in spirit, an artist whose warmth and passion were unmatched. Gone too soon, too young. Praying for strength and healing for his family and everyone grieving this loss. Miss you meri jaan…until we meet again, Om Shanti."

Mukul Dev began his career in 1996 with the television series Mumkin, where he played the role of Vijay Pandey. That same year, he made his film debut in Dastak, starring alongside Sushmita Sen as ACP Rohit Malhotra.
Over the years, he appeared in several notable films, including Qila (1998), Wajood (1998), Kohram (1999), Mujhe Meri Biwi Se Bachaao (2001), Jal, R… Rajkumar, and Himmatwala. His television work included popular shows like Gharwali Uparwali, Kasshish, Ssshhhh…Phir Koi Hai, and Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan.
