Dr. Amit told us about some natural and essential oils that can help us to reduce the problem of pigmentation.
Evening Primrose Oil
This plant-based oil that is found in North-America contains gamma-linolenic acid which reduces skin inflammation, acne problems and scars. If there is a problem of pigmentation, then you can mix this oil with coconut oil and apply it on your skin.
Rosehip Seed Oil
This oil is rich in vitamins, antioxidants and fatty acids. This oil has anti-wrinkle properties and is very good for the skin due to the presence of vitamin A in it. It can be of great help, especially in reducing blemishes on the skin. You can also apply this oil directly on the skin otherwise mix it with coconut oil, almond oil or olive oil and apply it.
Tamanu Seed Oil
This oil has anti-inflammatory properties and is rich in antioxidants. If you have acne marks on your face or your skin is dry, then you can use this oil. Mix 5 drops of this oil with Vitamin E oil and castor oil and apply it on the skin.
Vitamin E Oil
This oil is beneficial for the skin in every way. Mix 2 drops of this oil with coconut oil and apply it on the face. This oil will repair your damaged skin cells. If you have a problem of hyperpigmentation, then you should definitely use this oil.
Papaya Seed Oil
This oil is rich in Vitamin C, A and E. If there are acne scars on the skin, then this oil will reduce them to a great extent. You can mix this oil with almond oil or aloe vera gel and apply it on your skin.
Homemade Oil Blend
Dr. Amit also tells us a homemade blend that can help to reduce pigmentation to a great extent.
- 1 Tsp Argon Oil
- 5 Drops Lavender Oil
- 5 Drops Carrot Seed Oil
- Take a bowl. Add these 3 oils and mix well.
- Now, apply the mixture on your skin and massage the face.
- After 5 minutes, wipe your face.
- Use this oil twice a week and you will see that the problem of pigmentation will be reduced to some extent.
- If your skin is already oily, then you should avoid using this mixture.
- Do not use this mixture on your acne. Use this to reduce the blemishes on your skin after the acne is cured.
- Do not keep this mixture on your face overnight.
- Do not take facial steam after applying this homemade face oil.
Note – Dr. Amit says, “Do not use any essential oil without consulting a skin expert. If you are using an essential oil on the skin, then dilute it with something and use only 5 drops. Do not apply essential oil directly on the skin.”
