So, ditch those shelf-bought lotions and try these super easy natural alternatives that are fun to make! These homemade recipes will only need a few basic ingredients and will only take ten minutes to whip together. 

    Coconut Oil Moisturiser

    • A ½ cup of coconut oil
    • 1 tsp liquid vitamin E
    • 12 drops of lavender essential oil


    For starters, melt the coconut oil using a double boiler. Incorporate the other ingredients, and mix until they’re evenly combined. Store it in a glass jar and use it as your daily face cream.

    Aloe Vera Moisturiser For Dry Skin

    • 1 cup aloe vera gel
    • 12 tbsp beeswax
    • A ¼ cup of coconut oil
    • ¼ cup almond oil
    • 10 drops of any essential oil


    Begin by melting beeswax, coconut, and almond oil using a double boiler method. Incorporate the other ingredients, and mix until you get a creamy texture. Now store the mixture in a glass jar, in a cool place.

    Aloe vera soothes your skin and reduces inflammation. Beeswax is known for its soothing properties, while essential oil will protect from skin infections.

    Shea Butter Eczema Moisturiser

    • ¼ cup butter
    • ½ coconut oil
    • ¼ cups of oats
    • 2 tsp vitamin E oil
    • A few drops of lavender essential oil


    In a blender, grind the oats until you get a powdery consistency. After that, add the melted oil, lavender essential oil, and shea butter in it and mix well. And lastly, incorporate the vitamin E oil. Bear in mind that you have to apply this moisturizer every night, before going to bed.

    For centuries, oats have been used as a remedy to soothe itchy skin, whereas shea butter is known for its skin glowing ability. Coconut oil is highly recommended for its amazing nourishing features. And at the same time, it has antibacterial, antimicrobial and anti-fungal properties as well.

    • 2 apples
    • 1 tsp olive oil
    • 4-5 tbsp rose water


    Add olive oil and chopped apples in a blender. Beat it well until you obtain a smooth, fine paste. Heat the mixture in a heavy-bottomed pan, on simmer. Add the rose water to the content and let it cool down. Store this mixture in the refrigerator and apply once in a week.

    Apple encompasses vitamin C and A, and antioxidants that will revitalize your skin. On the other hand, olive oil is also known for its antibacterial properties.
