Amazon Prime Video's hit rural comedy series Panchayat returns with its fourth season, delivering another dose of village politics wrapped in humour and authentic dialogue. The show premiered on June 24, bringing viewers back to the fictional village of Phulera, where electoral campaigns transform everyday objects into powerful political symbols.
Season 4 centres on the much-anticipated panchayat elections that were set up in the previous season's finale. The campaign battle features two women candidates: Manju Devi, played by Neena Gupta, who chooses the bottle gourd or ‘lauki’ as her election symbol, while her rival Kranti Devi, portrayed by Sunita Rajwar, selects the pressure cooker to represent her political aspirations.
