Karan Johar earlier revealed the poster of his new reality show titled ‘The Traitors’, leaving everyone intrigued. On Friday, the makers dropped their official trailer featuring a star-studded lineup of 20 contestants, including Jasmin Bhasin, Urfi Javed, and Apoorva Makhija, among others. Hosted by Johar, the show revolves around a gripping game packed with suspense, twists, betrayal and drama.

The two-minute, forty-seven-second trailer shows a mix of contestants in the beautiful Suryagarh Palace in Rajasthan, competing with each other to win the big cash prize. But here’s a twist: some contestants are the traitors as chosen by Johar, while others have to find out who they are before they murder (eliminate) them.

The Traitors Theme
The show is going to be packed with suspense, mind games, emotional drama, betrayal, and unexpected twists where contestants will have to play smart and trust no one. Describing the theme of the show, Johar said during the trailer launch, “Characterised by lies, deceit, betrayal, and a whole lot of drama, The Traitors is a show to watch out for! You will see me enjoy myself to the hilt, as I not only orchestrate the gameplay but also get a front-row seat to all the chaos, conflicts, and conspiracies that transpire between the 20 players. The drama gets way too real, and the stakes even more so. While the players enter the palace ready to outsmart, outplay, and outlast everyone else, all their strategies go out the window the moment I choose the traitors from amongst them. So, rise and shine, because it’s dhokha time!"
