As Criminal Justice Season 4 heads into its final episode, that medicine bottle found in evidence has me questioning everything I thought I knew about this case. After watching episode 7 end with this mysterious bottle revelation, I couldn't shake the feeling that we've been missing something crucial all along.
The moment Madhav Mishra got those flashes about his interaction with Anju Nagpal in episode 2, I knew I had to go back and rewatch that scene. What I discovered has completely shifted my perspective on this entire case.
Criminal Justice Season 4 Episode 2: Did Anju Poison Ira with Regular Milk?
I went back and watched that scene in criminal justice episode 2, where everything seemed so innocent at first glance. Anju serves tea to Madhav Mishra, then takes him to Ira's room with a tray containing milk and medicines. At that moment, before Pankaj could even talk to Ira, Anju gave her regular milk with her medications.

Here's where things get interesting. Ira appears completely stable initially. She's drawing neatly, drinking the milk, taking her medicines, and answering Madhav Mishra's questions normally. But then something shifts. As soon as what appears to be an allergic reaction kicks in, she starts shaking, scribbling frantically, and then runs to vomit, exactly like the co-lawyer who works under Madhav Mishra.
This raises a crucial question: Why did Anju give Ira normal milk instead of lactose-free milk, knowing it would make her nauseous during Madhav Mishra's interaction?

Criminal Justice Season 4: Is Anju Sick? Could the Medicine Bottle Be Hers?
Here’s another theory: what if the bottle belongs to Anju? What if she’s seriously ill, maybe with pancreatic cancer, and the medicines are hers? Could she be intentionally leaving a trail, planting her prescription in the bin and trying to take the fall for someone else? Maybe to protect Ira? Or even Raj?
There’s a moment when Raj suddenly gets emotional about Anju, defends her in front of Roshni, and from then on, their dynamic shifts. Maybe he knows. Maybe she told him.
Criminal Justice Season 4: What Is Ira and Anju's Secret?
Let’s not forget, this season has repeatedly shown Ira and Anju whispering to each other, ‘We won’t tell anyone.’ That line has been used more than once. And Ira’s art? One drawing shows Roshni drenched in red, another has Dadi with something over her mouth, like a knob or a gag, as if someone told her to stay quiet. These aren’t just cute sketches. They’re telling us something.

Criminal Justice Season 4: Is Ira the One Who Killed Roshni?
If you follow the pattern, the medical triggers, Ira’s hypoglycemia, her behavioural outbursts, it’s possible she lashed out in the middle of a sugar crash. What if she accidentally harmed Roshni during a fight between Roshni and Anju? Maybe she picked up the scalpel. Maybe the fall and the blood happened before anyone understood what was going on. Kamla saw the scalpel. Raj didn’t. Maybe Anju cleaned up after.

That medicine bottle might not be poisonous. It could be a blood sugar regulator. Or even a sedative. If Roshni or Anju were giving it to Ira secretly, even to help her, it could've backfired. What if Roshni was trying to regulate Ira’s sugar levels behind Raj’s back? Or what if Anju discovered this and confronted her?
Criminal Justice Season 4: Will Episode 8 Reveal Who Killed Roshni?
So much still hinges on that bottle and what it contains. If Episode 8 connects the dots right, the illness, the milk, the meds, the scalpel, and those drawings, this could become a layered ending that’s more about family dysfunction and protection than cold-blooded murder.
Or they could pull a last-minute twist with someone like Dr Arsh Mistry. I hope they don’t go that route. This season hasn’t been perfect, and honestly, it’s only Pankaj Tripathi holding it together, but there’s a real emotional payoff if this all comes down to guilt, secrets, and a mother’s instinct to protect her child.

Let’s see how it plays out. But for me? That bottle isn’t just a clue. It’s a confession hiding in plain sight.
