According to Hindu mythology, Lord Shani Dev was born to Surya Dev and Swarna. He's a devoted follower of Lord Shiva and is known for granting blessings to those who devote themselves to Lord Shiva. Legend has it that once, Ravana captured Lord Shani Dev, but Lord Hanuman intervened, freeing him from captivity. Ever since that event, it's believed that Lord Shani Dev showers his blessings on those who worship Lord Hanuman.
