What sets this evolution apart is Samsung’s rumoured decision to axe the base Galaxy S26 and S26 Plus altogether. Instead, the brand appears ready to embrace a trio of premium offerings. The Galaxy S26 Pro is expected to sit at the entry point of this elevated range, but with performance and design far surpassing that of its predecessor. Code-named M1 and bearing the model number SM-S942, the Pro variant is said to boast a typical 4,300mAh battery,a modest yet noteworthy upgrade over the S25’s 4,000mAh unit.

In parallel, the Galaxy S26 Edge (codename M2, model SM-S947) will bring a new dimension of thinness to the series while packing a 4,200mAh typical battery,a significant improvement over the S25 Edge’s 3,786mAh. This ultra-slim device is rumoured to come in under 5.8mm, a feat of engineering that is likely to please design aficionados.

As for the Galaxy S26 Ultra, expectations are soaring. Set to retain its 5,000mAh battery, this powerhouse may finally support 60W fast charging,a long-awaited leap from the existing 45W. Inside, it’s tipped to run on Qualcomm’s forthcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 2 chipset (PMK8850), tailored specifically for Galaxy, and wrapped in Android 16-based One UI 8.5. Camera upgrades are rumoured to include a 200MP ISOCELL HP2 main sensor, accompanied by a refined suite of ultra-wide, telephoto, and periscope lenses, all powered by Samsung’s next-gen ProVisual Engine.
