Sakshi Sindwani Smashes Stereotypes At Nykd By Nykaa Store Launch

The first offline store of Nykd by Nykaa was inaugurated on August 18, 2022, in Rajouri Garden. With this store, the lingerie and athleisure brand from Nykaa Fashion has opened doors to its first-ever stand-alone, physical retail space making it a space for women to shop their intimate wear comfortable.

This brand promotes inclusivity and enables customers to be comfortable in their own skin. Creator and model Sakshi Sindwani has been collaborating with the brand for a long and was present at the launch.

Empowering Women

In a live chat between Sakshi Sindwani and Preeti Gupta, Business Head, Nykd by Nykaa, Gloot & Kica, Gupta said that As an inclusive, body-positive brand built on the pillars of convenience, comfort, and tech, I am certain that this expansion will allow more consumers to see, touch and experience our wide range. In an exclusive chat with HerZindagi, Sindwani said that “it was nerve-wracking to be a face of a lingerie brand but when I did, I found comfort and empowerment and my life pretty much changed after this campaign and I’m hoping that more women find confidence and comfort in themselves.”

To inspire the young girls who face body image issues and self-confidence issues, she said, “It's okay to be chubby, it's okay to have curves and life really gets better so don’t give up. I was in depression because of the bullying and other stuff that I had gone through. Now, I just wish to hug my 13-year-old self and tell her that everything is going to be fine.”

Nykd By Nykaa’s Motive

Nykd’s main motive is to support women through the highs and lows of their life by helping them navigate at least one area of their life with convenience and this physical store is the next step in that direction.
