Nancy Mace Accuses Former Fiancé Of Video Voyeurism And Other Offences

Speaking during the House hearing on surveillance in private spaces, Nancy revealed a poster behind her that displayed black-and-white images taken from what appeared as surveillance footage. She claimed that the footage showed her nude silhouette, captured without her knowledge. The picture had a yellow circle marking highlighting what she said was her own body.

“Exhibit 1: Behind me is a screenshot from one of the videos I found of myself. The yellow circle, this naked silhouette, is my naked body. I didn’t know I had been filmed. I didn’t give my consent,” she told the panel.

The US representative also alleged that her ex-fiance, Patrick Bryant not only filmed her secretly but also committed serious sexual offences, inclding abuse and rape. Days before the house hearing, Nancy made waves on X (previously Twitter) by writing, “I will show my naked body on one of the videos predator and rapist Patrick Bryant took of me and many other women.”

Reportedly, she also held up additional pictures, including the visual of the alleged hidden camera location, a group photo featuring her ex, and images of other women she claimed were also victims, their identities blurred out. “I was filmed in secret. The camera sat silent, yet it screamed my safety was negotiable and my dignity disposable,” she said.

Bryant reacted to the allegations, saying, "I categorically deny the false and outrageous claims made by Nancy Mace. I have never raped anyone. I have never hidden cameras. These accusations are malicious and deeply personal."

Bryant claimed that Mace was leveraging her congressional position to make protected accusations, potentially shielding herself from lawsuits under the "speech and debate" clause of the US Constitution, which gives lawmakers immunity for official statements.
