The trailer of "Kalank" is out but does it offer something new? It sure has beautiful faces, a surprise element being Kunal Khemu who seems to be essaying a negative role, but besides that what is new? The sets are grand like Sanjay Leela Bhansali's. Grand, tasteful and classy, if you notice, the scenes stills have "Devdas" rerun besides different actors. Twitterati has even said that it is the "same old HinduMuslimm controversial relationship family drama". This multi-starreris getting mixed reactions. Check them out!

After the makers treated the audience to the film's amazing cast, unexpected pairings besides Varun and Alia, they have introduced some more new characters especially that of Kunal Khemu's negative role.

The songs shared by the makers were also a hit with the audience. While in ‘Ghar More Pardesiya’, Alia and Madhuri mesmerise their audience with their dance moves, Varun showed off his dance skills in the "First Class" song.

The title track of the film has the magical voice of Arijit Singh which will soothe your soul. All the songs have received positive reviews.

The film has been made on a budget of Rs 80 crores which has been directed by Abhishek Varman and produced by Karan Johar. Just in case you don't know, the film boasts of an ensemble star cast that includes, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit-Nene in pivotal rolesTheandHiten Tejwani as Ahmed, Kiara Advani as Lajjo Special appearance in song "First Class" and Kriti Sanon also has a special appearance in song of the film which is slated to hit the theatres on April 17, 2019.

Asper reports, the film was conceptualised by Kjo and his father Yash Johar around fifteen years ago. Production designer Amrita Mahal worked on the set’s design and structure that represented old Delhi mohalla with a mahal in Film City, Mumbai. Sajid Nadiadwala, owner and producer of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and Karan Johar were present during the clapshot of the film.
