• Morning Puja: After an early bath and fresh attire, devotees make makeshift idols of Shiva and Parvati, offer flowers and bilva leaves, and listen to the Hartalika Teej Katha (the sacred story).

• Night Vigil: Many stay awake all night, singing devotional songs or chanting mantras, dedicating the effort to Parvati’s devotion.

• Breaking The Fast: The fast is broken the next morning with prasad that may include coconut, fruits, or a simple meal offered to the deities.

Hartalika Teej is more than a religious event, it is a celebration of faith, resilience, and the sanctity of vowed unions.
