Celebrated for nine nights together, Navratri is one festival wherein we worship nine different avatars of Ma Durga. Twice a year, Hindus go on to fasting mode and detox in a way. First is between March and April with this year beginning on March 25th and the next being between October and September. This festival is mostly celebrated in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Krala, Assam and Odisha.
Devotees fast, offer food and clothes to the needy, have pujas but maybe that would be a little restrained this year due to Covid 19 and the lockdowns. Here are the timings and the significance of the various forms of Goddess Durga with mantras for each day.
