- It is considered very important for the fast observers to maintain purity on this day. This is because impurities are believed to result in inauspiciousness.
- As you pray for the long life, happiness, and prosperity of your children on the day of Ahoi Ashtami, you should chant some mantras including “Om Devi Mahagauriai Namah,” “Om Aim Hreem Kleem Chamundayai Vicche,” “Om Namo Bhagwate Rudray,” “Om Namah Shivay,” and “Om Ambe Gauri Mata Namah.”
- “While observing the fast on Ahoi Ashtami, one must listen to the Katha. Without that, the puja is considered incomplete. On this day, worship Maa Ahoi (Ahoi Ashtami Upay 2024) with proper rituals. This can help in achieving the desired results,” said Jyotishacharya Ji.
