Despite a 43% drop from its record-breaking opening frame, the hold was stronger than many industry predictions. Analysts noted that expansions to a few hundred more screens and positive word-of-mouth helped sustain momentum. With no major competition arriving next weekend, Weapons is expected to enjoy a third straight stay at the top.
