The highly anticipated movie ‘Superman’ starring David Corenswet hit the theatres on July 11, 2025, and collected an estimated Rs 25.22 crore over the first weekend. Directed by James Gunn, the DC Reboot film opened with a decent collection of Rs 7 crore on Friday, which increased over the weekend. Although the film’s collection in India fell short of the projected Rs 40-50 crore, it has become the highest-grossing ‘Superman’ film of all time and one of the few DC titles to cross $100 million domestically in recent times.

The superhero film started its run on Friday, earning Rs 7 crore, followed by experiencing a healthy jump on Day 2, collecting Rs 9.5 crore. On Sunday, there was a slight dip in the theatre occupancy, recording Rs 8.44 crore. On its first Monday, the film has earned Rs 0.28 crore, which makes the total collection Rs 25.22 crore according to the Sacnilk report. The English version saw a higher occupancy, leading with Rs 17.92 crore, while Hindi contributed Rs 5.22 crore. The remaining collection came from the Telugu and Tamil versions of the film.
