South Indian superstar Dhanush is known to bring groundbreaking performances whenever his film hits the silver screen. Just like his recent blockbuster ‘Raayan’, he has returned with another highly anticipated film ‘Kuberaa’ which opened with an impressive collection, laying the ground for its success. Directed by Sekhar Kammula, the film stars Dhanush, Nagarjuna, and Rashmika Mandanna in important roles.
Kuberaa Box Office Collection Day 1
On day 1, Kuberaa received a positive response from the viewers with special attention to Dhanush. According to the Sacnilk report, the film has earned Rs 13 crore (early estimates) as of now. Although the opening collection of Kuberaa is lower than Dhanush’s last theatrical release, which had collected ₹15.7 crore, the film is still expected to perform well in the coming days.
On day 1 i.e., Friday, Kuberaa has an overall Telugu occupancy of 57.36%. While the morning shows recorded 38.94% occupancy, the afternoon shows had 54.58% viewers. The numbers for the evening show increased by 57.04%.
With the early promotions, the film is expected to perform well at the box office as it enters the weekend. It faces a clash with Aamir Khan’s ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ in the Hindi market.

As per reports, Dhanush and his son Linga attended the first show of the film on its opening day at a theatre in Chennai. The actor was visibly emotional about the enthusiastic audience response. A video showed him getting overwhelmed as fans cheered, climbed walls to see him, and shook his hand, with his security team struggling to manage the crowd. The film was given a U/A certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) after cutting 19 scenes, which trimmed the runtime by 13 minutes and 41 seconds, allowing it to be released across India.
