The latest instalment in the dinosaur franchise has landed with mixed reactions from moviegoers and critics alike. Jurassic World Rebirth brings back the prehistoric giants, but Twitter users remain divided on whether the film successfully revitalises the beloved series.
Director Gareth Edwards, known for his work on Godzilla, teams up with original Jurassic Park screenwriter David Koepp for this ambitious project. Cinematographer John Mathieson delivers visually stunning sequences featuring sweeping coastlines, dramatic cliffside descents, and intense underwater showdowns.
However, critics argue that spectacular visuals cannot compensate for fundamental storytelling flaws.
Jurassic World Rebirth Twitter Review
Film critic Sean Tajipour expressed his disappointment on Twitter, stating, "I don't recommend watching #JurassicWorldRebirth in a packed room with no A/C — the struggle was real, and for what? This might honestly be the dullest entry yet. I was hoping for a knockout, but this one might just be the worst instalment."

Film critic Siddhant Adlakha (@SiddhantAdlakha) didn’t hold back in his assessment, calling it “the worst Jurassic Park movie yet.” He added, “A flat, emotionless retread of familiar ideas, with no sense of theme, scale, danger or awe.”
"Jurassic World: Rebirth" is the worst "Jurassic Park" movie yet. A flat, emotionless retread of familiar ideas, with no sense of theme, scale, danger or awe. They were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should https://t.co/lX0e0ykwEA

Matt Neglia (@NextBestPicture) had a mixed response. “I enjoyed some of the thrilling set pieces, the mutated dinosaurs felt fresh & menacing, and a few of the new characters were likable… That said, the pacing is consistently off, the film doesn’t take any real risks, and some of the dialogue is downright atrocious.”
I’m very mixed on JURASSIC WORLD: REBIRTH. On one hand, I enjoyed some of the thrilling set pieces, the mutated dinosaurs felt fresh & menacing, and a few of the new characters were likable enough to make this familiar story, of humans once again attempting to play God, somewhat… pic.twitter.com/5jL5zdHfbo

John Flickinger (@theFLICKpick) said, “#JurassicWorldRebirth had a solid concept—mutated dinosaurs on a new island. I was intrigued. But the movie just feels blah.” He added, “It’s a string of forgettable scenes that go nowhere. One river sequence stood out, but the rest blurs together.” He concluded, “It just ends with no momentum, no setup, and no excitement for where this franchise is headed.”

Kofi Outlaw (@KofiOutlaw) described the film as having “a boring 1st act, thrillingly perilous 2nd act, [and a] botched climax.” He also noted, “No significant plot/character arc payoffs beyond basic survivalist sprint. It’s Jurassic Park 3 with much better production values.”

Jurassic World Rebirth Storyline
The film picks up five years after Jurassic World Dominion. Dinosaurs are no longer global attractions, now confined to the equator due to climate shifts. A pharmaceutical company hires a team to capture three dinosaurs in hopes of using their DNA to cure heart disease. Johansson and Ali play the experts leading the mission, which is disrupted by a crash-landed family. Bailey and Friend add depth to the story with their unique roles, though the chemistry and emotional stakes appear underdeveloped, according to many viewers.
