Karate Kid: Legends picks up after the events of ‘Cobra Kai’ and follows Li Fong, a young kung fu prodigy who moves to New York. Struggling to fit in with his new classmates, Li Fong meets Mr. Han and Daniel LaRusso, who teach him to combine his kung fu style with karate for an epic martial arts showdown.

Talking about Ben Wag joining the film, director Jonathan Entwistle told the Indian Express, “We wanted an actor who speaks Mandarin, is well-versed in martial arts, and is also westernised enough to carry the film for that audience.”

He further said, “When I saw his tape, I realised his acting was outstanding,” adds Jonathan. “But when I saw how hard he worked to bring the martial arts level to something that looks impactful on camera, that’s when I realised he was the one.”
